International music critics and rock gourmets agree: King’s X is among the most unusual acts in the history of rock music. Their technical skills are above reproach, and their creativity has impressed fans and media alike. Next to Rush, there is currently no other rock trio capable of producing such a dense and at the same time transparent sound. The musicians from Texas continue to lend, with amazing elegance, a noticeable lightness to their powerful and dynamic compositions. Live Love in London showcases this talent, a prime example of King’s X’s incredible live show of classic groove rock featuring great melodies with vocal harmonies, driving rhythms and tough guitars.

Live Love in London was shot in January of 2009 at the Electric Ballroom in London, UK, because, as Ty Tabor states, \"London was the first place that accepted King\'s X. It has always been my favorite place to play. We had to record the DVD there.\" Dug Pinnick recalls, \"We were touring the US, playing for very small crowds, then we went to London; it was the Marquee and it was sold out! The kids knew every word to Out of the Silent Planet! We played the whole album! From that point on, we weren\'t virgins anymore. U never forget your first time. London was the only place to do a live DVD. Too bad it took over 20 years.\" And Jerry Gaskill agrees, “As a boy, London was the land that held much of the magic of my musical dreams. Actually England itself was that magic. After all that’s where The Beatles were from. In 1988 I went there for the first time. We played to a sold out crowd at the Marquee Club. That was a dream come true. London was the first place to make me feel like we might actually be a valid band. London will always be special to me in ways that only London can be. And now our first official DVD recorded in London to another sold out crowd 21 years later helps me again to think maybe we do have something to offer; but then again maybe not. Whatever the case, thank you London for being there all these years.“ The show represents the full spectrum of King’s X’s career to date, and was the culmination of the touring the band embarked upon to support their latest of 15 studio albums, XV. Live Love in London features classic fan favourites “Goldilox”, “Over My Head”, and “Black Flag” as well as selections from XV “Alright”, “Pray” and “Go Tell Somebody”.

Live Love in London is in fact a celebration by a band that continues to make a personal connection with their fans through their art – reaffirming why King’s X’s brand of rock music will never lose its appeal!
