A historical overview:
Michael Amott founded SPIRITUAL BEGGARS with his friend Ludwig Witt, who's still playing drums in the band, and vocalist Christian "Spice" Sjöstrand who left after the "Ad Astra" album in 2000. This re-issue of SPIRITUAL BEGGARS debut album and the additional 18 (!) bonus tracks are about that first line-up and spanning a time from 1994 to 1999 with a lot of previously unreleased and rare early demo versions from the following albums "Another Way To Shine" (1996), "Mantra III" (1998) and "Ad Astra" (2000) - plus the Trouble cover version of "Mr. White" that appeared on the "Bastards Will Pay - Tribute to Trouble" compilation in 1999 and the never released before instrumental "Trouble In My Head" from a 1995 demo.

The double CD and triple LP re-issue comes with new artwork by Costin Chioreanu (At the Gates, The Devil's Blood, Grave, etc.), layout by Per Wiberg (Spiritual Beggars keyboarder since 1998) and linernotes by Walter Hoeijmakers (Roadburn Festival).

SPIRITUAL BEGGARS checked in with the following comment about these re-releases:

Michael Amott: "This has been a long time coming... Very cool to finally get our self-titled debut re-released the way we want it, authorized by the original band and lovingly re-mastered with 70+ minutes of previously unreleased bonus music from the archives and mind melting new cover artwork"

Ludwig Witt: "The vinyl version is a 3-LP gatefold extravaganza, totally killer package! Our "Demons" (2005) album also now available on vinyl for the first time, well worth the wait too. Time to rock the turntables - vinyl is finyl!"
